Two recent 24″ x 20″ acrylic paintings I had fun painting up. I was reading a book on Van Gogh and came across Paul Gauguin’s painting “Fatata te Miti (By the Sea)” and really liked the color palette. So much so, I stopped reading, mixed up some of those colors and painted a pretty wild abstract landscape. Of course the next day I painted over it and the first painting shown above was the result several days later. Netanyahu was all over the news at that time because he had been invited to speak to our congress without the White House gang’s knowledge, consent & blessing. Next thing I know, Netanyahu was in my painting, along with Grover from Sesame Street.
I apologize for not posting lately. Once I returned from visiting with my friend in LA, I lost another close friend here in town to suicide. I’m still hiding out in my studio and just staying busy painting. I’ll post more artworks soon. Take care.
